The Rendleman Company was founded in 1982 by
William J. Rendleman, Jr., CLU, ChFC, LUTCF as a private insurance
education, training and licensing company. Before starting The Rendleman
Company, Bill began his career with Prudential in 1973 and later worked as
the Training Assistant for Pilot Life. He became a General Agent with
General American Life in 1982. During his time with General American, he led
the company and finished in the top 10 nationwide agencies numerous times.
Bill is a former President of the Greensboro Association of Insurance and
Financial Advisors and was its Association Executive for 25 years. He is
also a Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Life
Underwriter Training Council Fellow. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in
1973.
In 1999,
H. Durand Stetler, III took over as President of The
Rendleman Company after several years of service with the company.
Durand has both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from the University of North
Carolina at Greensboro. He oversees the daily operations of the
company while Bill continues to teach the Life and Health Prelicensing Course and an occasional
continuing education class.
Drew Rendleman joined the company in 2004
shortly after graduating from Virginia Tech. He majored in Finance and
minored in Sociology. Drew currently serves as company Vice President.The Rendleman Company has helped thousands
pass the North Carolina Insurance Licensing Examinations and maintain their
Continuing Education (CE) requirements as well. With a convenient office
location next to the Friendly Shopping Center in Greensboro, we offer a
variety of courses through both classroom and correspondence training. All
of our instructors are professionals within the insurance and financial
