DO I NEED TO FILE A LICENSING APPLICATION FOR EACH LICENSE THAT I WANT?
Yes. Licensing applications may be filed individually for each license sought, or a single application may be filed for multiple licenses (as long as they will each be completed within six months). Please note: If only one application is filed for multiple licenses, no licenses will not be issued to the applicant by NIPR until he or she has successfully passed each of the licensing exams.
HOW LONG IS A LICENSING APPLICATION VALID?
Licensing applications are valid for six months once they are approved by NIPR. Fees paid to NIPR as part of the application process are nonrefundable.
DO I NEED TO BE FINGERPRINTED IN ORDER TO OBTAIN AN INSURANCE LICENSE?
Per NC regulations, fingerprinting for licensure is required for only the first license obtained, and must be completed even if you have previously been fingerprinted for unrelated reasons. If fingerprinting is required, you will be notified by email after you submit your application. Licenses that have lapsed for longer than one year will require you to be re-fingerprinted for reinstatement. Fingerprinting is not required for adjusters.
